A poem: Mother to a Child
Ooohh - today it happened.
It seems like I had been waiting
my whole life
to meet you
And there you were.
The wonder of you.
I remember counting 10 fingers and toes.
Looking deeply into your beautiful eyes
framed with long lashes.
Watching you sleep.
Sensing your soul.
Beautiful - inside and out.
I remember when you leapt inside me before you were born
Moving gently when I played music
Swaying with me as I lightly danced
Singing softly to you.
I remember myÂ
so looking forwardÂ
toÂ
welcoming you
to the world.
So long ago.
But just like yesterday.
I remember the dream for you is forever:
Blessings
and a wonderful life filled with love.
Always.
