About
Reflections, creativity, and encouragement for life’s unfolding journey
About
There comes a time in life when we realise we are not finished yet.
Not because something is wrong, but because something within us is ready to grow, to open, and to become more of who we truly are.
The Heart of Us was created for that moment - the quiet turning toward a new chapter.
This space offers gentle encouragement, reflective tools, and hopeful perspective for people moving forward in life. It is about recognising the strengths you already carry and learning to trust the part of you that is still unfolding.
My Path
I have worn many creative and caring hats over the years.
My early professional life was rooted in art, design, and teaching, helping others discover their voice through creative expression.
Later, I was drawn into deeper professional studies and spent many years working in therapeutic and healing-focused roles. During that time I supported people experiencing anxiety, worry, and the effects of difficult life experiences, while also undertaking my own personal healing journey.
Those years taught me profound respect for the resilience of the human spirit, and for the quiet strength people carry even in difficult seasons.
The Work Today
Today my work has evolved.
Rather than offering ongoing clinical or therapeutic practice, I now focus on encouragement, reflection, and personal growth - creating resources that help people reconnect with their inner steadiness, imagine new possibilities, and take gentle steps toward the life that is calling them forward.
Through writing, reflective guides, journals, and creative projects, my hope is to offer companionship for times of transition and becoming.
You will find materials that encourage you to:
-
reflect on where you are in life
-
recognise the wisdom gained through experience
-
reconnect with hope and direction
-
move toward new chapters with self-trust and courage
Because there is always more life within us than we sometimes realise.
For Young People
I am also developing creative resources for children and young people that encourage self-expression, emotional awareness, and inner confidence.
These offerings focus on helping young people recognise their strengths, feel connected, and grow in kindness toward themselves and others.
Quiet Wonder
My art and creative storytelling live within the Quiet Wonder section of this site - a place where imagination, reflection, and creativity come together.
An eShop featuring prints and creative pieces will also be available soon.
A Gentle Note
The Heart of Us no longer focuses on ongoing clinical therapy or counselling.
Occasionally, by request, I offer creative reflective sessions for women or children navigating a difficult time or life transition. Although still use therapies such as Art Therapy and Sandplay, these sessions are not clinical therapy and do not provide medical or diagnostic services.
The Heart of Us remains a space for reflection, encouragement, and personal growth for those who feel ready to step into a new chapter of life.
Because no matter your age or stage,
You are so much more than you imagine.
