There comes a time in life when we realise we are not finished yet.
We all grow and change.
So, in this season of my life, I am redeveloping this space to reflect what is at the heart of us - a quiet wonder that may be alive or dormant but is wanting to be seen to support us as we grow and go about our lives.
My Path
I have worn many creative and caring hats over the years. In the past decades my professional life began rooted in art, design and teaching, then as a counsellor and art therapist - all about helping others to discover their voice through creative expression and to heal their inner child.
My life experience and learnings have taught me profound respect for the resilience of the human spirit, and for the quiet strength people carry, even in difficult seasons.
The Work Today
Today my work has evolved.
I am a creative at heart, and through art, writing, reflective guides, journals, and creative projects, my hope is to offer encouragement for times of transition and becoming and inspire quiet wonder at life and within.
You will find offerings that may purely bring you joy, or reflect on your own life in order to resurrect quiet wonder and inner joy. And these offerings may develop and change as time passes.
Because there is always more life within us than we sometimes realise.
For Young People
I am also developing creative resources for children and young people that encourage self-expression, emotional awareness, and inner confidence and ways to manage anxiety.
These offerings focus on helping young people recognise their strengths, feel connected, and grow in kindness toward themselves and others.
A Gentle Note
The Heart of Us no longer focuses on ongoing clinical therapy or counselling.
Occasionally, by request if time allows, I offer creative reflective sessions for women or children navigating a difficult time or life transition. I do not provide medical or diagnostic services.
The Heart of Us remains a space for reflection, encouragement, and personal growth for those who feel ready to step into joy and self reflection.
